PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration and decomposition of the title cellulose acetate membrane due to microbes without using formalin having many problems in toxicity and after-treatment by adding antimycin A in more than a specified concn. to the storing soln. of a cellulose acetate membrane. CONSTITUTION:Antimycin A is added to the extent of >=1X10<-7>MOL to the soln. wherein a cellulose acetate membrane is immersed for storage. Since the antimycin A has an action to inhibit the oxygen breathing system of cellulose acetate decomposing bacteria belonging to Pseudomonas, the propagation of the bacteria decomposing cellulose acetate is effectively controlled with the addition of an extremely small amt. of antimycin A, hence after treatment can be dispensed with, and further the antimycin A is harmless to the human body. |
