The invention relates to a device for hanging in and disengaging loads to be carried along underneath aircraft. Said loads are each hung in hooks (1) swivellably supported about a fixed pivot axis (2). Assigned to each hook (1) is a separately operable hinged knee which consists of two hinged brackets (6, 8) connected to one another via a common pivot axis (7). In this arrangement, one hinged bracket (6) is pivoted at the hook and the other hinged bracket (8) at a further fixed pivot axis (9). Acting on the common pivot axis (7) is a spring (10) which tends to press said pivot axis, depending on its position, into one of two stable limit positions which correspond respectively to the hanging-in and disengaging position of the hook. The common pivot axis (7) can be moved, overcoming a dead point, by the action of a piston (12) on the hinged knee, from one limit position in the direction towards the other. The hooks can be operated independently of one another by means of this structurally simple device, a reliable disengagement and hanging-in of the load being guaranteed. <IMAGE>
