The device has a plurality of rotatable rolling cages (1) as well as baskets (4) which can be introduced into said cages. The baskets are used for receiving different types of workpieces (5). In this arrangement, each rolling cage (1) can receive one or more baskets (4), which are held between bars (8). The baskets (4) are formed at the sides and the base by open-work walls. The interior of the basket (4) can be fitted with profiles, the arrangement and design of which correspond to the shape of the workpiece to be received.
