PURPOSE:To manufacture a polyurethane roller having wholly uniform quality free of damage by delamination by a method in which a polyurethane foam is forcibly pressed into a cylinder and heated for molding, and the polyurethane molding is taken out and subjected to a grinding finish work for its periphery. CONSTITUTION:A polyurethane foam 1 of a size slightly larger than the finish size of a roller to be molded is forcibly pressed into a Teflon-coated cylinder 2 and a hopper 3 by a manner, e.g., in a distorted throttling manner or a closely rolled up manner. Then, the polyurethane foam under such a restricted condition is heated for molding and drawn out of the cylinder 2. Then, the perphery of the molding is subjected to a grinding finish work using a bite in order to obtain a given dimension of a roller. |
