PURPOSE:To construct a shaft sealing apparauts in a structure capable of drawing out gland packings and a lantern ring successively with ease without disassembling a pump. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of through bolts 9 are extended through gland packings 3, a lantern ring 4 and a pcking ring 4 through holes formed therein, and threaded portions 9' of these bolts 9 are extended through a gland 7 to the outside (atmosphere) A. A nut 10 is fitted to each of these threaded portions 9' of the bolts 9, so that the packings 3 and ring 4 are fastened to each other by turning the nuts 10. In replacing the packings 3, a clamping bolt 8 is at first detached and then a screwed bolt 11 functioning as packing drawing means is driven inwards, whereby the packings 3, lantern ring 4 and paching ring 6 are drawn out to the outside sucessively. Thus, it is enabled to replace them with new ones with ease. |
