The invention relates to a device for stacking paper sheets, in particular of different kinds, from two supply stations arranged one behind the other. At the front side, in the conveying direction, of the second supply station, there is arranged a separating element with a knife which can be moved towards the end face in such a manner that it penetrates into the stack and which has an inclined guide surface which lifts the paper sheets. The first supply station is allocated a transport means with which the paper sheets can be transported as far as above the second supply station. The transport means act exclusively on the top sides of the paper sheets. At the front side of the second supply station, there are provided second transport means with clamping jaws for the joint seizing of the raised paper sheets and of the sheets delivered by the first transport means. With these second transport means, the paper sheet can be transported as far as above the delivery. <IMAGE>
