PURPOSE:To start a drum motor surely independently of environmental conditions, by boosting a drum motor driving signal and switching the hold back voltage of a reel motor to give pulsation to the tension of a tape in the stand-by mode. CONSTITUTION:A drum rotation detecting circuit 25, a generating circuit 27 where a drum start signal is inputted as a trigger input to generate a timing pulse (b) having a prescribed time width, a signal generating circuit 26 which generates a square wave signal (c), a switch circuit 23 which switches the driving signal of a drum motor 15, and a switch circuit 24 which switches the hold back voltage of a reel motor 18 are provided. If a rotation detection signal (d) is not obtained during the generation of the timing pulse (b), the driving signal of the drum motor is switched to a boost voltage generating circuit 28 by the switch circuit 23 only during the generation of the timing pulse (b), and simultaneously, the switch circuit 24 is controlled by the signal (c) to switch the hold back voltages of the reel motor 18 to different voltages of hold back voltage generating circuits 20 and 29 alternately. |
