PURPOSE:To enhance durability of an image bearing material, by adding an abrasive together with a lubricant onto the surface of said material to enhance abrasion resistance, and providing an interlayer of hardness H-3H between the upper layer of hardness >=4H and a lower layer of hardness B-H. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. photocurable epoxyacrylate resin as an insulator, 80pts.wt. low molecular weight ethylene tetrafluoride resin powder as a lubricant, 2pts.wt. polyvinyl butyral as a dispersion adjuvant, and 10pts.wt. fine alumina powder as an abrasion resistant agent are added to 100pts.wt. methyl ethyl ketone as a solvent. They are mixed and dispersed, coated on an aluminum cylinder substrate by dipping this, and photocured. The sample thus obtained retains the surface of an image-bearing material little damaged by tests repeated as much as one million times, but peeling occurs between this layer and the substrate. To enhance this adhesion between them, a cyclic polybutadiene rubber is used as an undercoating, and a photocurable type acrylic urethane is used for an interlayer to prevent cracks. |
