PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple loop heat pipe capable of performing a uniform discharging and motion of steam without generating any pressure distribution in an evaporator just after starting operation.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a loop heat pipe 40 comprising an evaporator 43 for vaporizing working fluid, a condenser 44 for liquefying working fluid, a steam pipe 45 for flowing the evaporated working fluid into the condenser 44 and a liquid pipe 46 for flowing liquefied working fluid into the evaporator 43. The loop heat pipe 40 is formed by laminating at least two thin plates 41 and 42 having a flow passage. Within the evaporator 43 is arranged a ctenidium wick 49 generating a capillary force in such a way that teeth thereof may extend to the steam pipe 45 and each of spaces between the adjoining teeth of the wick 49 is communicated by a groove crossing the teeth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
