PURPOSE:To enable self-ruling of desired lines, by a method wherein a vane is turned through running of a pulse motor for a rotary vane, and perforated lines are ruled through a continuous opening and closing of a light introducing aperture. CONSTITUTION:If a certain ruled line pattern 17 in a circle letter disc 15 is instructed by a pattern selection key on a board 39, a motor driven part 42 returns the circle letter disc 15 back to a start position through control of a controller 40, and a circle letter disc motor 28 is run at a given number of pulses according to a pattern instruction signal. The selected pattern is brought to a stop on a photocomposition optical axis O-p, and thereby lines in a desired size hereafter can be ruled through the correlation of the closing motion of a shutter 12 with a motion to laterally move a magazine drum or a motion to laterally move a travel lens. Additionally, with the magazine drum 14 rotated, longitudinal lines can be ruled in the same size. |
