PURPOSE:To improve productivity by pressing a belt-like metallic fin to a long- sized metallic pipe below the same by means of a driving roller and subjecting these to lap welding while transferring both synchronously thereby feeding the metallic pipe without giving any stress thereto and preventing the generation of welding strain. CONSTITUTION:Supporting rolls 19a and 19b are disposed roughly horizontally in the positions where they face each other by way of a metallic pipe material 1a. At this time, a V-groove is formed on each peripheral surface of the rolls 19a, 19b, and the free rolls which revolve respectively freely are employed for these rolls. On the other hand, a pressing roller 20 is used as a driving roller, and cooperatively with the roll group 19, this roller feeds the pipe 1a and a fin 3 superposedly in such a way as to gnaw these respectively without giving any strain to the pipe 1a. It is equally well to form the peripheral surfaces of the rolls 19a, 19b arc-shaped hollow surfaces. |
