PURPOSE:To obtain a converting system which can improve the computation processing speed of the virtual storage system, by accessing the address conversion table by planting in advance the next logical page address in a storing means corresponding to the increase and decrease of address updatings. CONSTITUTION:Before generation of a page cross, a logical page address 1-1 of a logical address register 1 is selected by a selecting circuit 12 and converted into a physical page address by a logical address/physical address conversion table 2, and thus a main storage device 7 is accessed. During this period, the address 1-1 is successively updated through an adder 5 and the access to the device 7 is continuously performed, and, at the same time, next logical page address to be stored in next logical address storing sections 8, 9 through an adding section 10 and a subtracting section 11 in accordance with the increase and decrease of the address, is also updated. When a page cross is generated under this condition, the content set in the storing section 8 or 9 is selected by a selector 12 and converted by the table 2, and the access to the device 7 is continued without repeating. Thus a converting system can improve the computation processing speed of the virtual storage system is realized. |
