PURPOSE:To display a paper jam surely even after an electric power source is turned off until a freely resettable mechanical display means is reset by operating said means in accordance with a paper jam transmission signal and associating this display means to a transmission means. CONSTITUTION:The pulses of the quantities corresponding to the position where the paper is jammed are generated from a transmission means, then a ratchet 45a is turned at a prescribed angle by a solenoid 31, and a display drum 46 provided with tooth parts 47 is turned by a pinion 57, whereby the position where the paper is jammed is displayed mechanically. At the same time, a moving contact 50 is controlled by a cam 48 integral with a drum 46, so that the transmission means is interrupted electrically. When in this state a reset lever 62 is pushed in, a frame 56 oscillates by way of a fulcrum 59 to disengage the pinion 57 and the tooth part 47, etc.; at the same time, the drum 46 is reset via a heart cam 54 integral with the drum 46 by a resetting arm 61, and the contact 50 is reset similarly, whereby the display means and the transmission means are associated. By this constitution, the paper jam is displayed surely without any malfunction even after the power source is turned off. |
