PURPOSE:To permit processing of plural kinds of photosensitive lithographic printing plates (PS plate) to be processed with single automatic developing machine by providing plural pieces of developing soln. supply systems corresponding to the PS plates to be processed and arranging said systems in such a manner that only the developing soln. corresponding to each one of the different kinds of the transported photosensitive lithographic printing plates is supplied. CONSTITUTION:A rotary brush 7 under the supply of the developing soln. moves also in the direction orthogonal with the transportation direction and diffuses the developing soln. over the entire surface of the transported PS plate. Said brush executes the acceleration of the development by brushing as well. The movement in the direction orthogonal with the transportation direction can be varied in oscillation amplitude according to the size of the PS plate. The PS plate is carried by a transporting roller pair 8 into a developing section where the PS plate is transported by a transporting belt 10. The belt 10 transports the plate stably by maintaining the specified pressure contact force of the rotary brushes 7, 8 on the PS plate. On the other hand, a pump 5 or 6 of the developing soln. supply system or the rotary brush 7 or 8 which is not used is held static, more particularly the brush 7 or 8 is held afloat upward without being brought into contact with the PS plate. However, said supply system is interchanged with the other developing soln. supply system by the operation of a mode selection switch and the similar function is performed when the PS plate of the suitable kind is carried into the developing machine. |
