PURPOSE:To avoid the stay of a part of the untranscribed toner on the surface of a photoreceptor, by providing a collecting roll having the synchronizing turn at the position close to a magnetic brush roll so that the segments of the same polarity as the magnetic brush roll are set opposite to each other at the positions close to each other. CONSTITUTION:A collecting roll 6 which is set within a housing 2a and apart from a magnetic brush roll 3 is turned in the opposite direction to the roll 3. Like the roll 3, the roll 6 is also formed with segments 6a, 6b... which are divided toward the circumference of the roll. Then a DC bias power supply 7 is applied to secure the different polarities between the segments separated from each other. At the same time, the synchronizing turn is given so that the same polarities are set opposite to each other at close points between the segments of the roll 3 and those of the roll 6. As a result, the untranscribed toner remaining on the surface of a photoreceptor 1 is cleared off from the roll 3 regardless of the polarity. |
