PURPOSE:To improve self-priming performance of an axial piston pump motor, by feeding high-pressure fluid in a cylinder of a cylinder case to the sliding surface between a port plate and the cylinder case, and thereby eliminating tilting moment of the cylinder case and uneven contact of the cylinder case to the port plate. CONSTITUTION:A connecting passage 14 is formed in a cylinder case 2 in the manner that it is extended from an inclined surface 15 on the side of a cylinder 4 formed owing to the pitch difference d1-d2 of a suction and a discharge ports 2a to the sliding surface of a thrust pad 13 formed at the end face of the cylinder case 2. Through the connecting passage 14, high-pressure fluid in the cylinder 4 is supplied to the sliding surface of a port plate and the cylinder case 2, so that no tilting moment is acted to the cylinder case. Since, by employing such an arrangement, inclination of the cylinder case 2 can be reduced almost to zero, it is enabled to prevent lowering of the efficiency due to seizure, leakage of high- pressure fluid or by other reasons and hence to improve the self-priming performance of the pump motor. |
