CONDENSATE-DRAIN WITH BIMETALLIC CONTROL ELEMENT

A condensate-drain has a bimetallic control element arranged on the high pressure side. A closure actuated by the element is loaded in the opening direction by the pressure, and co-operates with a valve-seat. The bimetallic control element comprises a bimetallic snap-disc and the valveseat is movable in the opening direction by an amount less than the operating stroke of the closure. Intermediate partially open or throttling positions of the closure are avoided, the closure moving rapidly from the fully closed position to the fully opened position.
