PURPOSE:To obtain the stable feeding of sheets in a sheet-feeding device by controlling the accumulated sheets to be let out to a feeding roller one by one by means of a sheet detector provided in front of the feeding roller for preventing sheets from bending or the like. CONSTITUTION:The upper part of a sheet 1 is drawn out by the rotation of a roller 3, and detected as it is brought to a sheet detector 12 positioned at the front part of a touch area B of a brake member 6. Thereby, a releasing means 11a is operated via a control means 13, and the contact pressure of the roller 3 at A is released until the uppermost sheet 1a is finished to pass through the detecting area B of the detector 12 for releasing the feeding at A. The sheet 1 is conveyed to transfer rollers 8 and 8' as it is separated by the brake member 6 and the feeding roller 3. |
