PURPOSE:To enable the easy and quick operation of duplexing different-diameter pipes with one pipe inserted into the other by disposing the cradles carrying the respective pipes on the entral axis line on which carriages travel. CONSTITUTION:A sheathing pipe is placed on a V-shaped cradles 84, 87. Thus deposited sheathing pipe fits into the grooves of V-shaped frames 82, 86 by its own weight so that it is held in a horizontal position on the central axis of the equipment. A pipe smaller in diameter than the sheathing pipe is placed on a roller cradle 16 and roller elevating cradle 17. By its own weight said pipe is so positioned that its central axis is at the center between the conical rollers on both sides and aligned with the central axis of the equipment. Therefore, if the pipe cradles are placed on the central axis on which the carriers travel and the pipes to be duplexed are placed on said cradles, the central axes of the pipes will be aligned with the central axis of the equipment, thus making it easy and quick to obtain a duplex pipe by inserting the smaller-diameter pipe into the larger-diameter pipe. |
