PURPOSE:To improve the specific fuel consumption of an engine, by detecting negative pressure and rpm of an engine, and controlling an alternator to increase its power generation when the negative pressure is over a preset value and so is the rpm. CONSTITUTION:When an alternator is driven by an engine, a negative pressure sensor 7 detects that the engine negative pressure increases at a constant speed run of a car. Output level of a comparator 14 is made ''1'' in excess of reference voltage a'. Output level of comparators 15, 16 is made ''1'' when a signal in correspondence with engine rpm from an rpm sensor 8 exceeds reference voltages (b), (c). A transistor 26 conducts while an AND circuit 18 is ''1'' and an AND circuit 19 is ''0''. Current flows in a field winding 2b of the alternator. Hence, the specific fuel consumption can be improved by increasing power generation while using the engine at a high rate of specific fuel consumption. |
