PURPOSE:To prepare a novel antibiotic moroyamycin having antibacterial action, inimical to acarid imagoes and acaride nits, by cultivating a bacterium belonging to the genus ''Streptomyces''. CONSTITUTION:''Streptomyces'' No.3525 strain (FERM-P 1152) of ''Actinomyces'' or its variant is inoculated into a nutrient medium and cultivated under aerobic conditions to collect moroyamycin A, moroyamycin B, and moroyamycin C from the medium. |
