PURPOSE:To draw out rolling rolls safely right after the end of the working of the rolls as well by drawing the rolls in a hollow box-like carriage by a rolling roll drawing-out means through the notch of the carriage and carrying these to a required place. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of drawing out work rolls 3, a carriage 7 is moved to the stand side of a rolling mill 1, and a C-hook 5 is moved to the rolls 3 through the inside of a space slit 9, then the hook 5 is inserted to the roll shaft ends and the rolls 3 are pulled out. When the rolls 3 are drawn out completely from the mill 1, the hook 5 is hoisted with a crane, then the rolls 3 are wider than the width of the slit 9 and therefore the rolls 3 are carried out together with the carriage 7. Since the rolls 3 are drawn out and moved while they are kept covered with the carriage 7 during drawingout of the rolls 3, the scattering of the broken pieces of the roll surfaces to the outside does not occur despite the generation of the cracking in the roll surfaces, and this insures safety. |
