The mounting holds a valve on the neck of an aerosol container. A ring (6) has a trapezoidal cross-section and has a rib (9) on its axial interior surface. The ribs can be on the axial exterior surface to the locking pressure, but the interior surface is preferable. The valve (2) is fixed by a cap (3), with a gasket (5) between the valve. On engaging the ring, the rib is deformed.
