<p>The device permits fabrication of long profiles from standard elements of a dielectric material stacked end to end and in layers (5), with the assembly polymer glued using microwave fusion techniques. Rectangular section tunnel type microwave ovens (1) operating at 2450 MHz or 434 MHz are used, being either mobile (3) with attached microwave generators, or stationary with the profile passing through. Economy of energy consumption can be achieved by treating the profile at regular intervals of approximately 50cms rather than continuously along its length. After processing the profile passes through an infrared drying tunnel to dry out surface adhesive, allowing stacking of completed profiles.</p> |
