PURPOSE:To perform the focusing operation without the disturbance due to the luminance around an object, by detecting a peak value of the output of a high- pass filter in the automatic focusing device of a TV camera. CONSTITUTION:In a TV camera, when a focusing visual field 11 in a finder 10 is determined, a visual field designating circuit 14 controls a gate 13 to sent an output signal (d) of a high-pass filter 12 to a band pass filter 15. A peak detector 15 detects this signal to make a peak detection signal S3, and an integral network 17 detects a maximum value of the peak detection output, namely, a focusing signal successively. This fodusing signal is inputted to a lens driving circuit 18 to stop the driving of a lens. |
