The invention relates to a spray-collection hood (6) for a hydrocyclone to whose discharge area (3) the said hood (6) is attached by means of a connection element (9). In order to extend the service life of the spray-collection hood (6) as a result of a lower degree of wear, and in order to prevent the escape of aerosol, it is proposed to construct the spray-collection hood (6) as a hollow body in the manner of a double pyramid whose lower open cover face (8b) is adjoined by a discharge pipe (10). <IMAGE>
