PURPOSE:To give a structure by which a thermal fixing roll endures the heat during the use and the pressure of a high load, by bringing an aluminum (aluminum alloy die casting) shaft part, where a stainless steel core bar is casted, into press-contact with both ends of a cylindrical aluminum (aluminum alloy) and joining them. CONSTITUTION:A heat roll main body has a structure where a cylindrical tube 11 consisting of aluminum or aluminum alloy and joints 12 for junction of aluminum or aluminum alloy die casting at both ends of the cylindrical tube 11 are fixed to each other strongly by press-contacting. A stainless steel core bar 13 is casted in the aluminum or aluminum alloy die casting 12 to form a shaft part. A heating element 18 is provided in the cylindrical tube 11, and the surface of the cylindrical tube 11 is covered with a heat resisting releasing materials layer 15 consisting of silicone rubber or the like. The stainless steel of a comparatively low heat conductivity is used in the shaft part to reduce the heat loss, and the shaft part and an aluminum roll base material are joined strongly, and thus, this thermal fixing roll endures the long-time use. |
