PURPOSE:To reduce the cost and to increase the liq. crystal display contrast by diagonally vopor-depositing a metal such as an Al alloy to form a white electrode as the liq. crystal driving electrode on the semiconductor substrate. CONSTITUTION:A liq. crystal driving electrode on a semiconductor substrate 14 is formed by diagonally vapor-depositing a metal 15 such as an Al alloy. Al or the Al alloy is superior to Au or Ag as the metal 15 because it does not form a mirror surface. For example, by vapordepositing Al at about 200 deg.C, 4X10<-6> Torr vacuum degree and 60 deg. angle to the normal line of the substrate 14, a white electrode having higher whiteness is obtd. as compared to other angle. Thus, the cost can be reduced, and the contrast can be increased. |
