Freezing device and method for controlling same

The freezing device has a controlling device for storing energy by a program, in which minimum hour (hi) is programmed for the beginning of a storage period (Pr) within timer and a peak hour (hf) is programmed for the end of the storage period with timer. A freezing compartment is cooled during the storage period on a maximum storage temperature (Ta), which lies below the maximum freezing temperature (Tc) outside the storage period. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a freezing device.
