PURPOSE:To improve stability of operation and certainly perform engagement and disengagement motions by providing a mechanism sensing forward slant of a seat back and a chain locking mechanism to maintain a lock mechanism of a sliding device in unlocked condition. CONSTITUTION:When a seat back is slanted forward by a reclining lever 25, a device arm 13 is rotated in (a) direction, a pin 17 acting as a sensing mechanism moves in (b) direction along a groove 19, and a wire 23 is pulled in the (c) direction. Subsequently, a rotary plate 33 is rotated in (d) direction, and a chain- like pin 37 is introduced into the relevant hole 39 to be maintained in engagement by means of a coil spring 35. Further a wire 10, pulled in (e) direction, rotates a lever 8 in (f) direction and puts a lock mechanism 6 in an unlocked condition, a seat cushion moving automatically to the foremost position. Then a seat back is set up and moved backward against energy of a spring, subsequently a base plate 32 is postioned above a pusher plate 51 and a pushing up pin 36 reaches the top 56 of the pusher to release a pin 37 from engagement with the hole 39 and the seat is locked. |
