PURPOSE:To obtain a high resonance frequency by forming both the oscillating and supporting parts into a body for a quartz oscillator in which the Y plate is turned by 45-65 deg. around an X axis (electric axis) and is furthermore turned by 40-50 deg. within a main plane. CONSTITUTION:A Y plate is turned by 45-65 deg. around an X axis and then + or -40-50 deg. within a main plane plate to obtain a quartz bar 1. Then a quartz oscillator 11 having an oscillating part 12 and a supporting part 13 formed into a body is produced from the bar 1. The part 13 is designed with such size and form that cause no disturbance to the oscillation mode at the part 12 and set the displacement to zero at a sticking part 18. As a result, no effect is caused by the lack of oscillation, etc. in case the part 18 is connected mechanically and electrically by means of the solder, etc. A high resonance frequency is secured for the oscillator 11 by exciting the oscillator 11 in the n-order contour oscillation mode (n: an odd number). |
