PURPOSE:To obtain a titled device with which the facilities and the maintenance are easily checked, by setting a guide reflecting wall at the side of a travelling route of a car plus a transmitter of the branching signal at the front of a branching area and at the same time mounting a distance measuring wave transmitter and receiver and a branching signal receiver on the car to carry out the steering control. CONSTITUTION:A guide reflecting wall 2 is provided at both sides of an entire traveling route of a car 1 including a branching area. Four untrasonic wave transmitters and receivers 3A-3D are set at the front and rear parts of both sides of the car 1, respectively. At te same time, a branching signal wave transmitter 4 for the ultrasonic wave which is controlled by a control center is set at the front of the branching area. The branching signal is received by a wave transmitter and receiver 3G through the traveling routeIor II. The transmitter and receiver is controlled by a CPU. The distance between the car and the wall 2 is calculated to deliver the steering control signal, and at the same time the branching direction is detected based on the received signal of the transmitter and receiver 3D to perform the branching steering. In such way, the facility and the maintenance can be easily checked for an automatic branching and steering device. |
