<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operationability by employing a push cable while pushing the operational member for releasing the lock position. CONSTITUTION:A steering lock 9 is fixed to the steering shaft 1 and the shell cover 6 and connected with the operating section at the opposite side of the shell cover 6 through a push cable 27. An engaging projection 25 on the second rotor 20 is engaged with the stopper projection 26 on the operational member 4 to block the rotation to the lock position. When pushing the operational section at the opposite side of the column, the operational member 4 is advanced by the cable 27 to release the engagement thereby the rotor 20 will rotate the lock position. Since the pushing operation is employed in the operational member, the feeling of the operation is improved.</p> |
