PURPOSE:To control air conditioning by controlling an electric motor for driving a compressor continuously and variably in its speed, in a captioned air conditioner by means of a refrigeration cycle. CONSTITUTION:A refrigeration cycle consists of an indoor heat exchanger 3, an indoor unit 1 having a blower 4, an outdoor heat exchanger 5, a blower 6, a pressure reducing device 7, four way valve 8 and an outdoor unit 2 having a compressor 9, an electric power source 11 is connected with an electric motor 10 for driving a compressor 9 through a power rectifier 12 and a power inverter 13. Operational load to be applied to an air conditioner and a signal from a detector 16 detecting heating load are applied to a main controller 15, an instruction signal is applied to an auxiliary controller 14, the power inverter 13 is controlled with an output of the auxiliary controller 14, an alternate current pulse to be obtained through conversion of direct electric currrent voltage from the power rectifier 12 is varied and an operation stop and a variable speed control are carried out. |
