PURPOSE:To greatly reduce the number of position detectors and to simplify the constitution of a titled controller, by forming the position signal of a carrier after detecting the reference point on a shift line. CONSTITUTION:A driving chain 2 contains a pusher 3 with a certain pitch, and a carrier 1 engages the pusher 3 in an attachable and detachable way to be shifted. At the same time, a pulse generator PG is connected to the driver DU of the chain 2 to produce a number of pulses proportional to the shifted distance of the chain 2. Then a reference position detector 6 detects a prescribed position P1 which are occupied at a time by all pushers 3, and counters C1-C6 count the pulses given from the generator PG by the detection signal of the detector 6. When this count value reaches the set value, setters S1-S6 produce the output, respectively. These output signals are used for the position signals of the carrier 1. In such way, the number of position detectors can be reduced greatly to simplify the constitution of the controller. |
