PURPOSE:To make the accurate detection of the wrapping of a sheet-like medium to be recorded on a photoreceptor possible by decreasing the quantity of reflected light to a photodetector when said medium wraps on the circumferential surface of the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:In a normal case in which transfer paper 18 is not wrapped on a photoreceptor 1, the light from a light emitting element 34 is regularly reflected by the circumferential surface of the photoreceptor 1 and is made incident to a photodetector 35. When the paper 18 which is held wrapped on the photoreceptor 1 on account of a failure in the sepn. in a separating part 7 passes under a wrapping detecting part 10, the light from the element 34 reflects irregularly on the surface of the paper 18. Hence, the quantity of the incident light to the photodetector 35 decreases and the wrapping of said paper is detected surely. |
