PURPOSE:To make the coating of a proper amt. of silicone oil possible by holding a release agent in a porous body of a resin and selecting the pore sizes and porosities of the porous body in conformity with the amt. of coating on a roller. CONSTITUTION:A pressurizing roller 3 is brought in press contact with a fixing roller. When paper 15 transferred with a toner image 4 passes between these, the toner is thermally fused, stuck and fixed. Low viscosity silicone oil 5 of <=3,000 cs is contained in an oil tank 6. The silicon oil sucked up by the capillarity of felt 9 is once held in a porous body 8 of a tetrafluoroethylene resin, and is coated on the fixing roller through its micropores. |
