PURPOSE:To extend the duration of pressing of a strip due to a wrapper roller to absorb quickly a loop in the initial stage of winding-up, by providing an elastic material, which energizes the wrapper roller toward the side of a mandrel, between the wrapper roller and a swing frame. CONSTITUTION:When the leading edge of a strip 1 bumps against a wrapper roller 6, the roller 6 rises, and a roller 5 falls by the shaking operation of a swing frame 7 to press the strip 1. After that, when the lap of the second turn bumps against the roller 5, the roller 5 rises, and the roller 6 presses strongly the strip 1 of the first turn through a spring. Further, when the lap bumps against the roller 6, the roller 5 presses the strip 1 of the second turn through the spring. This process is repeated to press the strip 1 to a mandrel 2 for a long time. Thus, a high-quality coil with a good turn shape is produced surely. |
