PURPOSE:To obtain a receptor having superior stability in the initial formation of an electrostatic image, superior moisture resistance, etc. by forming a photoconductive layer using an inorg. photoconductive material surface-treated with a higher fatty acid and a thermoplastic resin as a binder. CONSTITUTION:An inorg. photoconductive material such as CdS, Se or amorphous Si is added to a soln. prepared by dissolving 0.01-10 parts higher fatty acid such as oleic acid or stearic acid to 100 parts of the photoconductive material in 100-500 parts org. solvent. After agitating them for about 1hr, the photoconductive material is separated by filtration, washed, and dried at 100 deg.C for about 40min. This treated material is dispersed in a thermoplastic resin soln., and the prepared coating is applied to an electrically conductive support and dried to form a photoconductive layer. An insulating protective layer made of synthetic resin may be formed on the photoconductive layer. Thus, a receptor having high stability in the initial formation of an image and a long life is obtd. |
