In order to produce flow belt inverts (pipe inverts) in sewerage engineering, sewer bricks are usually used. The very complex manner of production necessitates, in particular in the case of changes of direction and curved progressions, very high expenditure in terms of time and materials. By means of the segmental half shells, the required invert channel (flow belt inverts) are laid and jointed corresponding to the desired progression. By using the segmental half shells, a very low joint fraction and thus a coefficient of discharge, which is favourable in terms of flow, are achieved.
