In this amplifier, the gain is reduced with increasing amplitude of the input signal in order to prevent overloading. This is done with the aid of a variable dynamic resistor which is connected between the emitter electrodes and/or collector electrodes of the amplifier transistors. This variable dynamic resistor consists of the collector-emitter paths of two similar transistors connected to one another at the emitter electrodes. <IMAGE>
