PURPOSE:To provide a printer device in which a member for detecting thickness of a paper engages a platen, and a gap between a printing head and the platen can be self-regulated through movement of the platen corresponding to the thickness of the paper. CONSTITUTION:A platen 3, placed on rollers 4, faces a printing head 1, and is movably positioned so that it can come close to and part from the head. A stopper 5, engaging the platen 3, is mounted to prevent collision of the printing head 1 with the platen 3. The platen is always pressed toward the stopper (5) side through a spring 6. An arm 3 is attached to the platen 3, a roller 8 is installed to the end thereof, and a pad plate 9 is situated through a paper 2. This causes moving of the platen in a manner to be positioned facing and opposite to the printing head 1 corresponding to the thickness of the paper 2 located between the plate 9 and the roller 2, which results in providing a gap, suitable for the thickness of the paper 2, between the platen 3 and the printing head 1. |
