PURPOSE:To prepare a supercooling inhibitor enabling the control of a solidifying behavior of a heat accumulating material, by covering the surface of a matrix for inhibiting the supercooling with the heat accumulating material. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of a heat accumulating material (e.g. NaCH3COO. 3H2O) and a matrix for inhibiting the supercooling (e.g. Na4P2O7.10H2O) is heated above the melting point of the heat accumulating material, and then the precipitated matrix for inhibiting the supercooling is taken out and cooled. Thus, the surface of the matrix is covered with the heat accumulating material. EFFECT:The supercooling inhibitor prevents surely the supercooling in the first cooling run as well as the subsequent runs, hardly allows the supercooling to occur and does not allow the heat accumulating material to solidify. Single crystals that were formerly considered to have an inferior supercooling inhibiting function can impart a supercooling inhibiting function equal or superior to that of the pulverized powder to the supercooling inhibitor. |
