PURPOSE:To prevent an exhaust fan and the inside surface of a hose from being stained with oil by a method wherein the oil is separated from the smoke by lowering the speed of the oil-smoke mixture flow generated at a cooker. CONSTITUTION:The oil-smoke mixture generated from food on an iron plate 1a heated by a burner 1 is led from the slender collecting port 4 of a main body 2, to which an exhaust fan is connected with a hose 8, into the smoke well 3 of the separating device of oil from smoke. Because the cross section of said smoke swell 3 is larger than that of the collecting port 4, the speed of the oil-smoke mixture flow is rendered to be lowered, resulting in falling down oil particles in an oil sump 5 by the action of grauity. As a result, the oil in the oil-smoke mixture generated at cooking is separated from the smoke by passing through said smoke well 3 and collected in the oil receiver 5 and the smoke removed the oil is discharged through the hose by means of the exhaust fan. Accordingly, the problem of oil-staining of a hose connection port 6, the inside surface of the hose 8, the exhaust fan and the neighbourhood of an exhaust port is solved. |
