PURPOSE:To raise electric stability and durability of a contact probe without intervention of an air layer between the probe and a body to be tested by making flat the outer surface of a sonic matching layer that makes close contact with the body to be tested. CONSTITUTION:A case 16 to accomodate a vibrating element is formed with plastics, and at the end face of the case 16 a sonic matching layer 18 is formed as one body with the cae 16. The inner face of the sonic matching layer 18 has a convex face that contacts with the vibrating element 10 closely and its outer face is formed substantially flat. A vibrating element 10 is held by a sonic backing layer 12 and is inserted into the case 16, and both the vibrating element 10 and the backig layer 12 are bonded together and fixed. Accordingly a vibrating face 10a with a desired curvature can be obtained. |
