PURPOSE:To prepare a 2-color type heat-sensitive recording material in which a low-temperature color development layer and a given high-temperature color development layer are laminated on a support substance, and in case a color development is performed by a high-temperature heating under a low-speed recording condition, a mixture color due to a low-temperature color development is not produced around a high-temperature color development part. CONSTITUTION:A high-temperature color development layer and a low-temperature color development layer (a difference in color development temperature is preferably about 20 deg.C or more), in which a color development temperature is adjusted through combination of a leuco dystuff as a color former and an acid material as a developer (at a combination ratio (weight) being about 1 to 2-10) and further addition of a material presenting an eutectic property to a color former, are laminated on a support substance to prepare a 2-color type heat-sensitive recording material. In case, for example, a color of a high-temperature color development is brought to a black color system and a color of a low-temperatur color development is brought to a red color system, a red color system color former is used as a color former for the low- temperature color development layer, and a black color system color former and a color former (or green color system color former) color-developing in a complementary color to the low-temperature color former are used as a color former for the high-temperature color development layer. |
