A process for the preparation of a skin-regenerating or skin-protecting pharmaceutical composition is disclosed wherein the flower, root, fruit or cortex of a plant selected from the group consisting of Fugaceae, Caesalpiniaceae, Chenopodiaceae, and Rosaceae is extracted with ethanol at a temperature of 0 DEG to 50 DEG C. The obtained plant extract is purified and the dry substance content thereof is adjusted to 0.01 to 0.1% by adding more of the ethanol. |
