The stackable case (10) with cover is used to store printing characters, and is of a one piece moulded plastics construction. The case comprises a rectangular tray of uniform depth, its interior being divided into compartments (12) by full length intersecting partition walls (11) at regular intervals and parallel to both pairs of perpendicular sides. Certain isolated partition walls (11') in both directions are higher than the remainder and yet have a lesser height than the characters and the side walls. The arrangement divides the box in a manner facilitating the filling of stored characters. The row of compartments next to the front wall (16) may include an extra long compartment (12') for page-setting equipment. The cover may engage side wall lips to slide into place until abutting a front wall upstand, the latter wall being returned obliquely down (14) to locate an identity card (17).
