<p>A staple fiber cutting machine has a cutter supporting member which supports a plurality of cutters and is driven in rotation by a drive, a gap formed so that a cable can be introduced into the gap, and a pressing member which is driven in rotation during idle running of the machine, prior to introduction of a cable into the gap. The machine works so that not only the cutter supporting member rotates, but also the pressing member rotates during the starting phase or the idle running of the machine.</p> |
