PURPOSE:To provide an excellent ink jet recording device with which excellent recorded pictures are obtained without pulling back ink drops that fly off an air discharge opening by constituting a plate with the air discharge opening with an electric insulator and an electricity conductive body and providing ink drop forming electrode made of an electricity conductive body near the air discharge opening. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle plate 2 is formed with an electrically insulating body, and a liquid drop forming electrode 11 is provided in which only the periphery of the air discharge outlet 1 is made of an electricity conducting material. Ink drops 12 that have gone out of the area 8 of the air flow receive electro-static force along the electric force line 13 that is developed by the ink drops 12 and the liquid drop forming electrode 11. This electro-static force is small in the areas where they are outside of the area 8 of the air flow and the direction of the force is inclined to the center of the area 8. All the ink drops, therefore, attach the surface of an object 7 that is to be recorded. |
